Streusel Topping

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons plain flour
  • 45 g ground almonds
  • grated rind of one orange
  • 60 g of butter, cut into small pieces

Method:

In a bowl, mix the sugar, flour, almond meal, orange rind and butter with your fingers, so that the butter is in tiny pieces throughout. Scatter over the cherries and bake in a moderate oven (180 degrees) for about 30 minutes or until the topping is gold, tinged with brown.
